  1. It’s a great bird feeder if you live in an area with … Apparently this feeder is also a magnificent squirrel catcher. This squirrel was chowing down on the inside of the feeder today. It couldn’t figure out how to get out. It had pried the metal hooks that are supposed to lock the top to the side, but then couldn’t figure out what to from the other side. It’s a great bird feeder if you live in an area with particularly stupid squirrels, I suppose.

  2. gone in a day! Those little furry grey birds, the ones with the bushy tails, will hang up side down on this feeder and work every sunflower out of the mesh liner in less than a day.It takes about a week to figure this out.So the first week it works fine until the mesh wire lossens up.

  3. that the birds cannot get a good grip with their feet When the birds eat what they can reach with their beaks, it leaves a pile of seed in the center of the feeder that cannot be touched. Also the mesh is not rigid. It collapses. This makes it difficult to fill it unless someone holds it up, as you pour the seed in. Also, the ring where the birds stand is so thin, that the birds cannot get a good grip with their feet. Many of the birds hang on the side of the mesh to eat.
