Next time you take a walk in the woods or your local park listen to the variety of beautiful melodies of the winged singers collectively known as songbirds. There are over 4,000 species of songbirds throughout the world. From Blue Jays and Robins to Sparrows, Swallows and Finches, every songbird sings their own unique sound. Now you can enjoy any number of bird species in your own yard by attracting them and not the pesky squirrels with our Squirrel X2 squirrel-proof Songbird Feeder.
Our revolutionary Squirrel X2 squirrel-proof Songbird Feeder protects your birdseed and allows you to feed the birds not the squirrels! Featuring two-way squirrel protection, the hinged roof tilts with the weight of a squirrel and closes both ports. The two feeding ports with long, sturdy metal perches are spring loaded to close both ports from the weight of a squirrel. The Squirrel X2 can accommodate 4 pounds of seed and has a wide mouth for easy filling. The attractive burnt penny finish will complement any outdoor décor and blend in nicely with nature.
Great defense against squirrels. Select the seed to attract your favorite birds. Constant food at both ports. Two integrated metal perches. Wide mouth top for easy filling.
Hanging Your Seed Feeder
Feeders can be either hung from a strong branch/shepherd’s hook or they can be pole or post mounted. In any case, select a location that is near enough to tree/bushes that adequate escape cover (from predators) is accessible for your feeding birds. The feeder should be at least four to five feet from the ground, this will help keep it out of reach from marauding raccoons and other critters. Be careful not to place your feeder too close to large windows, this will help prevent collisions on your windows, and this also allows your birds more escape flight routes when predators show up. Take into consideration where you will be typically viewing your birds from, and this line-of-sight is also important for monitoring the seed/nectar levels in your feeders. If you are planning to photograph your feathered friends while they feed, consider a location where there is at least partial sunlight available.
Cleaning the Feeder
Remove the locking roof by gently pulling out on the metal clips below the roof and lifting. Hand wash with warm water and a mild antibacterial soap. Drain holes in the base will allow water to flow through and clean the bottom. We recommend not removing the base for cleaning. Rinse thoroughly and let dry completely before refilling with seed.

…no more ‘Free Bushy Tail Buffet’!!!… Ha!! …Ha!!! Like most reviews on Squirrel Proof feeders I will admit that ‘Thee Grey Squirrel’ is the most industrious and acrobatic critter in our front yard. We started out with (4) caged Squirrel proof feeders and they were a ‘All You Can Eat For Free Buffet’ for the critters. I saw the Squirrel-X2 for $19.99 and thought that was a little pricy just to feed the birds. However, after going through 14# of premium seed in a few days, 56# in a month with the (4) eight buckers……. I decided to…
Good product, but needs assembly adjustments. This is the only “squirrel proof” feeder I have found to be truly squirrel proof. It holds a TON of food and the birds love it. Squirrels seem completely stymied.
Great Design Finally a squirrel proof feeder that really works and keeps the squirrels from eating 4lbs of seed each day. I do feed the squirrels on the ground but they have figured out every other feeder and shake them so the food would fall to the ground. This was my last attempt before giving up bird feeding. Now the little sparrows, finches and cardinals all have a daily supply of seed.
