This one melted I’ve been buying Heath suet for years and up until now have had no problems. This last batch seems like it had melted and then re-solidified. About 1/3 of the cake had the consistency of peanut butter and will no longer work in a regular suet feeder. If you get this check to make sure the whole cake is solid *before* opening the package. At least that way you’ll be able to return it.
JUNK FOOD FOR YOUR BACKYARD GUESTS The birds in my back yard, (who normally DEVOUR every suet cake I put out there for them) will ONLY eat these when there is so much snow on the ground that they simply have no other choice. Then, it’s either a Bird’s Blend Cake, or starvation. I bought a LARGE supply for the winter and I can already see that I am going to be saddled with the bulk of them when spring comes. How can this be??? I have two suet cages hanging side by side. If I put a C&S (found in any WalMart or local feed store)…
Heath Outdoor Birdie Blend Suet The birds love this suet. I am so glad that I ordered it when I did.We had the heaviest snow storm that I can ever remember. Thank God that the birds had something to eat. Thank You
