Well Built, Easy to Maintain, But Perches Have an Issue Initially the birds would not use the feeder, instead preferring to use my older one of similar design. My wife observed that the birds seemed to land and then slip around on its perches. I fit black heat shrink tubing over the perches, shrank the tubing to fit, and now the birds use it as much as my older feeder. Other than the perch issue, the feeder is well built, and easy to fill and maintain.
Durable! This bird feeder is great! The cap, perch and feed dispense area are metal which is amazing if squirrels enjoy raiding your bird feed station. That is exactly why I purchased two of these. The tube is a durable, clear plastic. We live in Minnesota and the feeder has survived our cold a$$ winter!
An awesome quality-made bird feeder. Have had numerous tube bird feeders and most are flimsy with plastic pegs. Not so here. This is an awesome feeder.Metal lid and pegs and plastic is firm but the feeder itself is very light. A screw inside the lower holes permits removalfor cleaning. A well thought-out bird feeder.
