Some suggestions for attracting birds
-Put your bird feeder near a tree.
-Throw some seeds everyday on the ground nearby the bird feeder. After chickadees discover the bird feeder, they did the job for me and more birds were attracted
-Put the bird feeder in a quite window (that means, with no too much human/pets activity). If birds see too many risks around, they will freak out and will not eat.
Note
The birds will often poop as they finish feeding and fly away. If you have decking or some other “”””pretty”””” surface under the feeder, it’s likely to need regular cleanup. Depending on the type of seed you use, you’ll also have piles of shells all over the ground. Some birds will also root through the seed and knock some of it to the ground. I have mine over flowers, and don’t have to deal with the poop issue, or a pileup of seed husks. The birds will happily eat the extra seed that falls to the ground.

This is sturdy and the cutest bird feeder!! Easy to put together, but you will need an extra small sized phillips screw driver. The feeder is sturdy clear plastic, not cheap thin plastic. The suction cups have been holding very well and I fill it with a variation of seed, We are in the PacNW and it has held onto the window since Father’s Day, with rain, wind, and humidity. Very easy to clean. We use it for Finches.
Good window feeder. This was exactly what i was looking for. Sturdy suction cups, sized for small birds (finches). I have a shepards hook a couple feet away where birds wait for their turn to eat. I scuffed the clesr plastic ‘swing’ with sandpaper to make it opaque so birds can see it easier. Finches do use this when the feeder is crowded, but i sense they don’t enjoy swinging back and forth.
nice bird feeder Bird feeder went up easily on my window It is easy to fill and clean. The birds quickly found it and visit the feeder frequently. I do wish the birds would use the bar/swing more. I have only seen a couple birds on it.
