  1. Do this to keep the bees away! I’ve had 3 of these for more than one season. None leak, easiest feeder to clean (use a bottle brush). I had a bee problem. Yellow jackets would land then crawl threw the holes and chill inside. Check the picture. Just cut a small piece of fishing line (less than an inch section per hole) and put a dot of superglue on either side of the hole (on the underside!) to hold the fishing line in place. This cuts the hole size in half and the bees can no longer crawl in.

  2. Best feeder for the money (by far)

Customer Video Review Length:: 0:37 MinsFor twice the price (of $8-something), this feeder would STILL be a good buy. Easy to fill, easy to clean .. and the hummers love it. I have a similarly-designed feeder with a glass bottle (this one is plastic) that holds a lot less nectar and is much more cumbersome to deal with. I’m thinking about buying another one of these feeders to replace one of the saucer-type feeders. I’d recommend this one hands-down to anyone (esp. to those just starting out).

  3. Loved by hummingbirds, woodpeckers, others check it out This is simple to clean and refill. I use simple sugary water (100 mL white sugar + 850 mL filtered water). I started with more concentrated sugar water, hummingbirds seemed to get used to it, and now there’s almost always at least a few calmly drinking around it (or fighting over it). In addition, I have at least three woodpeckers that keep coming daily to drink from it as well. Hooded orioles seem to be attracted and keep checking it out. I’m not sure they get to the liquid but they do keep…
