Unfortunately, it didn’t work well as a catcher on the 36″ because it is too small to catch anything from the upper portion of the feeder. It might work better on smaller feeders than the 36″. But my primary dislike of the seed tray was that when screwed into the bottom of the feeder, it effectively…

  2. Did Not Like This was to catch the thistle seed from falling to the ground under my feeder and making a mess, as well as to prevent so much loss of seed. However, with any rain or moisture, the seed would clump all around the tray at the bottom of the feeder, making it hard to clean as well as creating a moldy environment for the birds. I took it off and threw it away.

  3. Poor threading The threading on this was not done properly, I try to use it on my bird quest 36 inch finch feeder, and it wont screw onto the bottom. If i pushed really hard and screwed, it would take one thread, but then if water sat in it, or a bird landed on it, it would fall off. The threading is not right on this, seems like its straight threaded vs diagonal like the bottom of the finch feeder. It can’t work properly if it doesn’t fit. Hoping my husband can make it work.
