Exactly the birdbath I wanted. I assembled and installed this birdbath during one of the coldest and snowiest weeks of the winter and the water has remained completely unfrozen without getting warm. Other reviews have mentioned that the water needs to be topped up daily, but I have not had this problem. It could be that in extremely cold weather, the evaporation is not as rapid.
I don’t recommend this heated bird bath We bought this last year (12/20/12). We installed in January, 2013 and it worked fine.
EXCELLENT WINTER BIRD BATH! I wish I could give this product 10 stars! It’s well packaged, so it arrives in good condition! It’s easy to put together and it’s sturdy once it is assembled. It’s the perfect depth to give the birds just enough water to drink. I have to refill it each day due to evaporation, but it’s a joy to trudge out through the snow to know that I’m giving our feathered friends some fresh water.
