Birds took awhile to use this bird bath The birds took quite awhile to use the bird bath. I used it to replace a terra cotta bird bath that had broken. The birds really liked the old bird bath and groups of birds would often have fun splashing around in it. It’s amazing how many birds could fit in at once. The new bird bath is glazed and too slippery for the birds to actually stand in it. They do sit on the edges and hang from the chain to drink but do not stay too long. Two Issues The bottom is not colored so when hanging in a tree you will see white if you look underneath. Also it is not the bright blue as pictured it is mainly brown with blue undertones throughout. Still pretty and if it were less expensive I would buy another.
Busted “Withstands Maine Winters” are you kidding me? It couldn’t withstand my Alabama Fall! This thing cracked and busted at the first sign of cold weather and by cold weather, I mean Alabama cold, not exactly the frozen tundra. One of the main reasons I purchased this was because it was touted as durable. Do not buy this thing.
