Please get a heated birdbath. The birds and squirrels are really searching for water in the wintertime! Right after we bought this we went through a historic cold spell for Kentucky. I never realized that birds and squirrels could say thank you. If you could see the looks of gratitude on the faces of so many birds and squirrels that were able to find drinkable water as we went through almost 3 weeks of single digit temperatures. No Ice, and easy to clean! This is exactly what I wanted and needed! I like the texture of the bowl. Very easy to clean. I just tip out the old water, brush the surface with a small scrubber, splash a little water to rinse, and then put it back down and refill. I keep an old milk gallon of water nearby. The whole process uses less than the gallon and it’s done in an instant! And of course, with the plug in, no more ice!
Great product We LOVE this product! Easy to install on our deck without any drilling or tools. It attracted birds all winter long, and in the summer we unplug it and use it unheated. It’s really an all year product.
