Avoid these if possible I’ve had this binocular for a little over a year and I haven’t used them much and it hasn’t even seen water but I was looking forward to it when I bought it. Unfortunately it fell short of expectations. Within a month of getting it, it developed a fine mist on the inside of the right lens. It looks like dust but after a closer inspection you can tell it is of a liquid nature. Don’t know where that came from. Then the eye piece started coming off. I have included some pictures of both the eye…
Great For The Price! Great for the price. I bought a good set of binoculars in 1969 and they worked great until last year when my boat sunk and they didn’t survive. (Got water in the left lens) Actually the right side still works. But, anyway, about the Barska Marines, they are really clear and I like the features, floating, waterproof, rangefinder and lighted compass. They are great for one person only because of the individual focus adjustments, but for a hundred bucks you can buy everyone in the boat their own…
Unhappy with longevity Used them sparingly, and after about 8 months the rubber rings that surround your eye when you look through the binoculars began to split and degrade. Very unhappy. Ended up donating them within less than two years and will be purchasing my next set from a different brand.
