  1. Just remember to add some water every few days and it works Great. When the rubberband disintegrates I am going to … These will work and they hold alot of water HOWEVER…. you must plug the space through the middle where the metal hook is. the ants immediately crawl down the hook, through the red plastic tunnel and right to the sugar water for the hummingbirds. 2. The BEST Ant moat for hummingbird feeders ever! The BEST ant moat I have ever tried! I love that it has a continuous wire hanger, which makes for a longer lasting product. 3. Clear red So pretty with my red glass feeder. Some reveiwers said that the ants could still get down in to the feeder so I spray a little cooking oil in the bottom of it when I take down the feeder for refill and cleaning. No ants so far and I’ve been using it for a few weeks. It is more transparent than the photograph show so the light shines through it and it looks very much like red glass. Very happy with this purchase.
