The design is much more subtle than shown This birdbath was bought to replace a similar one that I had 3 years ago – they were both made of clay. The top of my previous one broke the first winter we had here in Northern NJ. I kept the base hoping to find a top for it but no such luck. This winter I will definitely take the top inside or at least turn it upside down on the base to prevent it from breaking again – I suggest anyone else who lives in a colder climate to do the same!
