Excellent choice for your bird!! My African Grey parrot Peggy Sue absolutely loves this food. And so do I. I am very particular what I feed her. This is excellent and my parrot really loves it! This is the first food I have found that she likes this much. It smells good, it is clean, really clean. And it is very healthy food for her. I am so happy to have found this food, and I will be buying more.
TOO SMALL FOR A GOFFINS COCKATOO 🙁 VOLKMAN IS GREAT, BUT THIS IS REALLY AN APPROPRIATE SIZE FOR AN INDIAN RINGNECK OR SMALLER 4 Stars because Volkman puts out a Great, Clean Seed that does not contain sunflower seeds.BUT…I give this 4 stars and not 5 stars because the image on the packaging is tremendously misleading. The cockatoo on the package image makes you think that this is great seed for larger hookbill birds. Way Too Small for my Goffin’s Cockatoo. Ellie will eat the large banana slices and pumpkin seeds, but will not bother with the other seed because it’s just too tiny for her 🙁 After…
Too much small millet seeds in the last few bags I’ve bought. Been buying this product for years for my 2 30+ year old amazons. Buy it for rhe safflower base. But the last few batches particularly in the new style bags have had a lot more small seeds like millet and less safflower seeds. My amazons don’t eat much if any of the smaller millet sized seeds, to small for them seems like. So, there’s a lot more waste per pound now with more of the smaller seed.
