I am most disappointed in this shipment I am most disappointed in this shipment. The food is not as it has been in previous orders. It’s full of small seeds and little pieces of fruit. Where are the whole apricots, the large nuts and huge chunks of pineapple and papaya? The nuts are few and far between and not even the peanuts are more than a scattering. Not in this bag! It isn’t the fault of the vendor, but of the Higgins company. I will give it one more try, and if the same product is provided, I will not purchase this again…
Lots of very small seed filler This food consists of mainly very small seeds. This “filler” is much to small for my African Grey’s beak (and they even have a picture of a Macaw on the bag we received) . The mixture looks nothing like what is pictured in the listing, because there are very few “large” pieces of food/nuts/etc. This food might be ok for a very small bird, but defiantly not for a parrot.
All my Parrots Love Higgins I have tried and tried to convert my parrots to a pellet diet. It just cant be done. My African Grays and Amazon love the Higgins. Since I started buying Higgins about 6 years ago, I have not been able to get my birds to eat any other food except fresh veggies. Tried all the pellets and other organics, but they just throw the pellets on the floor. They eat all the varieties of Higgins and especially like the Higgins Mayan.
