Did not realize when I ordered it comes with solar pump When I received the item, I was surprised to find it included a solar powered pump that sits in the fountain and runs to prevent mold/mildew buildup in the birdbath. Mustâve missed that in the product description, so that was a plus! On a sunny day, it will âspurtâ sporadically, unless the sun is directly hitting the panel, and then the fountain will run continuously. Nice birdbath This is a lightweight and nice looking birdbath. The fountain only works in sunlight (the more sun, the higher the fountain). The one problem I had was that the suction cups on the bottom of the fountain would not stick the birdbath which caused the fountain disc to float around and the water to be sprayed onto the ground. I solved it by putting a rigid flat plastic lid in the birdbath. The suction cups stick to that.
Fountain didnât work. The birdbath looks nice but is pretty lightweight. 3 stakes are included to hold it down but even then, you would need to put some kind of weights on the base or it might blow over /away. The fountain comes with several different sprayer heads but I had no luck with any of them. I put the fountain in direct sunny Florida sunlight and still only got occasional spurts of water. Nothing steady or that resembles a fountain or trickle of water. It just didnât meet my expectations.
