  1. Very nice I bought this little solar fountain to put in a large glass bowl, which I will put on a metal stand near my Hummingbird feeder. I’ve seen Hummies having fun in “sprinklers” on a hot day, so I though this might fit the bill. Have tried the fountain, and it works great, although you do need to keep an eye on the water level, as it does splash out when it comes back down and hits the solar disc. I had to leave it floating, as it would not work when I used the suction cups to secure it to the…

  2. Not for a bird bath-works well otherwise Works as advertised. If you are using a bird bath, the suction cups on the bottom of the device do not hold well. I had to glue a flat piece of plastic to the bottom of my bird bath in order to get this sprinkler to adhere without floating to the top. You can just let the sprinkler float in the water, but then it floats to one side and when the sprinkler is activated, it pours all the water out the side of the bird bath. It would be helpful if there was a larger suction cup on the bottom.

  3. I would highly recommend this. Works great. No batteries to manage. They were out of the other colors so I opted for the black one and wasn’t disappointed. I left the bubbler/sprayers off and use it in a large Pennington clay plant saucer like you’d find at The HD. If you don’t want it to float you can take the foam disks off of it. When the sun is out, pump runs. When shaded, pumps intermittently. When no sunlight, the thermonuclear reactor kicks in and generates enough electricity for the Eastern sea board.
