17-inches tall. Patented spiral perch attracts more birds and allows more birds to feed – the feeder has nine thistle seed ports! Birds love to perch on the patented spiral and “run the spiral” instead of flying to another perch. Aluminum and stainless steel construction with a clear molded seed tube. The feeders also feature a squirrel-proof patented “locking lid.” The bottom comes completely off for an easy clean. Feeder comes fully assembled in an open view box. Yellow Finish.

The BEST finch feeder I’ve found. THIS is exactly what I needed to replace my last two thistle feeders, and I should have known better. I have the most ridiculous, determined grey squirrels in my yard (a family of 5 of them!) that demolish feeders if they can get their grubby paws on them. Due to the location of one thistle feeder, I’m not able to use a baffle or dome to protect it from the pests. After going through three feeders in this location, I purchased this one, and so far, it was a great choice. For the record, I…
Bird Fun We have lots of house finches, song sparrows and seasonal goldfinches in Eastern Iowa. Keeping them fed with thistle in the Spring and Summer can be a challenge. The sock feeders get torn apart on feeding frenzies and the traditional slot feeders just don’t have enough statios which leads to more fighting and less feeding. The 17″ Bird Quest Spiral Thistle Bird Feeder has alleviated the fighting problem as the birds can go from ne port to the other by simply sliding down the spiral. In…
Bird Quest SBF2C 17″ Spiral Thistle Bird Feeder – Copper Works much better than the normal thistle feeders. They all allow even the smallest amount of rain to cause mold. A little bit of water will get into this one during a deluge of rain. The feed starts to clump up but I haven’t allowed mold to form before cleaning it out completely and refilling.UPDATE 03/02/15: I bought a second one from a different company. It was a few $s cheaper. Now I can keep one loaded up with thistle making replacements much faster. I started adding a small…
