USING STEPS
1. Remove the film which covers the solar panel before using
2. Make sure there is no leaf or anything else shade a part of solar panel
3. Ensure the pump under the enough sunshine, suggested in the midday sunshine
4. Pull out of the plug, the head part firstly, and make the pump work for seconds to let the air go out of the pump
5. Then put on the plug to see if it could work well

A decent solar fountain at last! We were not expecting very much from a solar fountain but just wanted something to help oxygenate our pond. However we have been pleasantly surprised by its performance. The fountain height is really good and gives a good spray. It works well on a sunny day and the battery back up means it also works on cloudy days once it has been charged. Great purchase, reliable and robust. I bought this pump in early summer 2014 and writing this review Feb.2015 and am very happy to report it has been trouble free and still doing all it is supposed to. I put in a small garden pond using a plastic mould and mounted the fountain pump on an up-turned plastic container in the centre of my pond. There is plenty of wire to mount the battery pack/switch a good distance away and also the small solar panel. The batteries remain charged and work well even on quite dull winter days and are…
Excellent Fountain. Excellent product and a reasonable price. Came well before estimated delivery date, too. The solar panel itself is a fair bit bigger than some others I have seen, and the cable is around 12 feet long. Having secured it to a nearby shed roof I find it works (albeit at a reduced level) even in overcast conditions, yesterday it was working in the rain!
