Very Good protection Successfully kept raccoon out of bird nest. Lost a brood last year, so I purchased this. The raccoon tried again, but the mother bird was so impressed with the protection that she used the same box for a second brood. Guess the racoon gave up ’cause there were no new claw marks
Looks Good Bought this to try and keep the racoons from raiding my Blubird and tree swallow nest boxes. Only giving it 4 stars at this point because it is well constructed and comes with mounting hardware. Will revise to 5 star if it works next season. You may want to lightly sand the inside side of the hole, mine had some rough edges.
