Very sturdy and easy to place I gave this a 4 star for the following reasons: The black coating chips off quite easily, especially where you tighten down the arm. The other is where it tightens to your deck railing. It is a lock down nut instead of a flat platform so the lock down nut actually can damage any kind of railing or under railing. Love it!! I love this we have been feeding the birds suet and had a shepards hook on our deck railing. The hook hung over the deck and made a mess when the birds ate bits of suet would fall on the deck and railing.
