For Beginners and Visitors Only If I had examined this book in a bookstore, I would not have purchased it for two reasons: (1) The information on birding sites in “Pennsylvania” is so brief and superficial as to be almost useless. (2) The small pocket-size of the book suggest that it is intended to be used as-a take-along field guide. But with just one bird photo on each page, it would be difficult to compare photos of similar birds to determine what one has seen. In this sense, the old pocket-sized Peterson…

  2. Read the size description This is a small field guide sized book. But has beautiful color and pictures. Bought as a gift, I was a little disappointed in the size, but I should’ve read the size description before I let myself get disappointed. Otherwise a very nice quality book
