The finch just love a sock The finch just love a sock. Found our first one at Walmart but the squirrels ate a few holes into it and the finch don’t seem as happy at the black oil feeders as they do at the sock, so we got this one and they almost immediately flock to it. Hopefully the squirrels will stay off it this time.
Not very durable or rodent proof We initially purchased just one, which the finches loved. Then got two more to put in other places. They did not last very long (under 4 weeks). Two got help from mice, who chewed holes in them overnight. One is still un-chewed, but it is getting threadbare and won’t last another week.
My birds are happy!! The birds are going crazy for this!! Thanks to my sister-in-law, I tried this. I found the socks here for cheaper than what she had been paying, so now she will be buying them here!
