Please read for water suggestion……. This is a great feeder, I use it for water. I bought 2 because I know why most birds don’t drink the water. It’s because most of the time it’s either warm or just about hot! So I fill one 3/4 with water and freeze it standing up in the freezer with no top on it. Then the next day I add just a little more water and put it outside and bring the other one in from the day before and freeze that one. Now the birds are drinking some water because it stays cold all day even in the sun.

Worked great. Now switched to feeder for the winter. Perfect for smaller seed such as safflower. Bases a little difficult to unscrew for the switch after using a while but not a big deal.
buy this one this feeder is excellent. you can use it for either bird seed or water. it even has little signs on the lids to make sure you put it together correctly. i like it alot. i’m going to use it for water but i might get a few more.
