Pretty good design Pretty good design, and very easy to mount. The deer came running when I hooked it up! You do get a little spillage from gravity, but that’s to be expected. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is that the way it’s designed, there’s a wedge on the back side that, when you strap this to a tree, tilts the feeding trough up and out. But unfortunately it also presses the back side of the lid snugly against the tree which makes it difficult to remove and replace the lid.
Great Wildlife Feeder Works prefect for my needs. Holds a 40 pound bag of deer corn. Squirrels sit on the lip of the feed chute, but I don’t care, because I bought it for all wildlife, including squirrels. Have had several deer as well. Well worth the price.
Not durable! Installed the feeder and it’s been operational for 3 weeks and already has two huge holes that I assume the squirrels have clawed through. If this isn’t strong enough to withstand squirrels in my environment it’s useless.Update: I contacted Moultrie, the manufacturer of the product, and they were absolutely no help. They said the product has no warranty for damage. So, if you plan to use this in an area that has squirrels or other animals that can bite or scratch….DON’T buy it.
