Hanging Your Seed Feeder
Feeders can be either hung from a strong branch/shepherd’s hook or they can be pole or post mounted. In any case, select a location that is near enough to tree/bushes that adequate escape cover (from predators) is accessible for your feeding birds. The feeder should be at least four to five feet from the ground, this will help keep it out of reach from marauding raccoons and other critters. Be careful not to place your feeder too close to large windows, this will help prevent collisions on your windows, and this also allows your birds more escape flight routes when predators show up. Take into consideration where you will be typically viewing your birds from, and this line-of-sight is also important for monitoring the seed/nectar levels in your feeders. If you are planning to photograph your feathered friends while they feed, consider a location where there is at least partial sunlight available.
Cleaning the Feeder
Bottle is dishwasher safe. Hand wash metal parts with warm, soapy water. Let dry thoroughly before filling with seed.

So good! Bought it to replace a bird feeder that … So good! Bought it to replace a bird feeder that the birds weren’t remotely interested in. It’s been up two days and already I’m super happy with it! The birds queue up all over our trees to nibble. So excited!Also, it’s absolutely lovely. I’d’ve been happy with it for twice the price. It came a different color than shown, it’s a burnished type finish, which I actually prefer to the one in the picture.
Beautiful Bird Feeder Update: It’s been two months and the birds knocked it off the hook and it fell and broke. I’m not sure I’ll be able to fix it.This is gorgeous. I really love it. It’s exactly like the photo, but If you can’t see, the base has holes so that water doesn’t collect.Update: I’ve already had to buy a new bag of bird seed. It’s going fast.
So I took it out and it works perfect! Well made and easy to fill I was having trouble finding a thistle/niger seed feeder that actually dispensed the seed. This one comes with a little plastic attachment that you insert at the bottom to accommodate the smaller seed, but I found that there was a seed traffic jam when I used it.
