  1. Backyard Birds I can now identify I gave this book to three amateur bird fans who enjoy watching birds at their kitchen window feeders. All reported back that this was the most useful bird book they had seen, with clear photos & identifying features, and interesting relevant facts.

  2. Great book I have a 4 year that loves birds…we have several bird feeders and this is the first book I bought. It is a good book. Smaller in size, both inside covers fold out and have the page numbers listed. If you are buying this for a child, I would prob pick a book that offers more picks than this one…this one has great pictures, but is mostly informative and not a love of pictures.   3. Perfect for armchair bird-watchers! Having read the reviews on this book and the other, more comprehensive (and expensive) NG bird book, I am pleased I made this choice so I could enjoy the birds in the small backyard in NJ. I should add that I am a visiting Brit, who has been enthralled by the range and colors of the local avian population.
