Great This is our second heated birdbath. In Maine, when the winter winds from the North and from off the Atlantic bring their legendary cold,it is not uncommon to see birds trying to drink from puddles, all too often filthy with oil, sand and road salt. This is a safe, convenient and inexpensive way to insure them fresh drinking water, all year long. We have one in the front yard and now this in our back. As a backyard wildlife habitat, it was a welcomed and necessary addition.
this bird bath doesn’t work The problem is simple: the bird bath does not mount level on the railing. I used both the screw in mount and the vise-like mount and still the bath tilts so the water runs out one side. It looks silly too. So I put the thing back int he box and stored it in the basement. I bought another brand on the Wild Bird Center and it mounts straight and level. This Farm Innovators version is a waste of money.
Good for the price I purchased this as a gift for my wife. It came as expected and is working well. My only complaint is the clamp on railing mount is a little saggy. The weight of the water makes the end tip down and, consequently, it doesn’t hold quite as much water. I plan on getting a shelf bracket and mounting it underneath to prop it up.
