It includes a feeding tray at the bottom connected by ladder to a perch ring. The feeder captures energy through a solar cell in the top, powering a LED to illuminate it with a nice glow at night.

Great bird feeder it has a night light!! I love to feed my birds and watch them during the day. This feeder is built very well, and I love that it has a “night light” on it (there is a switch on the unit you need to turn on to make it work).
Cheerful addition to other feeders. Yes, it does light up at night, in fact I put it the garage yesterday and early this morning it was shining brightly indoors from stored sunlight. I am eagerly awaiting the return of the goldfinches who love nyger seed, but in the meantime I’ll have to put up with the house finches, who are all over it. It looks adorable hanging amongst my other feeders. I recommend this to other bird lovers!
Very cool, wife loves it. Unique gift for bird lovers. Light works well, can stay lit overnight even on cloudy days. With thistle feed this feeder has become a favorite for finches and even a few doves. Good quality gift. Very happy with purchase.
