Waste of money This feeder looks slick, appearing to be a good product. That’s where the good ends.It is not easily filled, and the flared bottom means the sunflower seeds stack-up in the middle,once the feeder is half empty. Poor birds can NOT get to the seeds, and eventually give-up.Do yourself and the birds a favor, by purchasing only a vertical cylinder type. They arecheaper, fill easily, and feed the birds without issue .
High Quality and Wild Parrots Love It The wild peach faced parrots that we feed (sunflower seeds) use it heavily. The mesh is about the right size, as the sunflower seeds mostly stay in it and the parrots work to pull out seeds. A few drop on the ground, but not too many. Only negative is that doves have figured out how to sit on the top flange and bend down to pluck at the seeds. I defeated them by making an aluminum collar 4″ high by 4-1/2″ in diameter to fit around the top mounting wire — so there isn’t enough room…
This feeder is so cute and perfect for all the little birds in the yard Ordered this feeder last Wednesday for my daughter’s birthday and was surprised when it arrived Friday evening. Was looking for a feeder that would not encourage squirrels, which is a problem in her yard. Figured I’d give this one a try because it’s all metal.
