The height also helps discourage overly curious cats in the neighborhood. To install, simply lower the 1-inch-diameter pole down into the sleeve that you’ve buried in an ideal location of your yard. The pole can be removed quickly and easily as needed–a useful feature when it’s time to mow the lawn.

As an alternative to staking a feeder or bird house, this 7-foot steel pole can also be used to hang a feeder thanks to its included extension arm in matching silver. not good at all The pole is ok, but the hanger is all plastic and the notch where things hang is very shallow. My feeder falls off all the time. I’m just waiting for the plastic to crack as well.
quick, easy set up Sturdy. Great for the middle of the lawn – the pole sits down in a buried sleeve, so you pull it out and mow over the area.
Most contemporary looking bird feeder pole out there, but not the most stable I don’t want a green or black pole so this is my ONLY choice really. It lets you choose to do a top-mount of hanger-mount, but why not both? Also, its support system isn’t too sturdy & it won’t keep itself straight up. Luckily, its pole diameter is at a very standardized 1″ diameter so I use Wildbirds Unlimited pole Stabilizer to straighten this. So far so good. This pole itself is very straight (not bent nor curved).
