Great, low cost binoculars for bird-watching or bow-hunting I took this pair of binoculars out for a day of hiking and animal watching. I can tell you that they are FAR better suited to this than my compact 10×25 binoculars. For one, the larger objective lens means you get more light, and the 8x magnification means that you get less hand-shaking than the 10x binoculars. Great for viewing birds and desert wildlife. Comfortable with glasses I was looking for serval different kinds of binoculars and I stumbled across the Sky Genius brand. If the binoculars arrive collimated, they’re good I purchased and received 2 pairs of binoculars. After opening and focusing the first pair, I could tell there was something wrong with the alignment, or collimation, of its optics – there was a double image effect, something that is more obvious when observing a point source, like stars, but which is still headache-inducing when looking at terrestrial objects.
