Did not realize when I ordered it comes with solar pump When I received the item, I was surprised to find it included a solar powered pump that sits in the fountain and runs to prevent mold/mildew buildup in the birdbath. Mustâve missed that in the product description, so that was a plus! On a sunny day, it will âspurtâ sporadically, unless the sun is directly hitting the panel, and then the fountain will run continuously. Either way, itâs creating water movement to prevent stagnation on sunny days so I am pleased. I could not get the solar piece to…
Nice birdbath This is a lightweight and nice looking birdbath. The fountain only works in sunlight (the more sun, the higher the fountain). The one problem I had was that the suction cups on the bottom of the fountain would not stick the birdbath which caused the fountain disc to float around and the water to be sprayed onto the ground. I solved it by putting a rigid flat plastic lid in the birdbath. The suction cups stick to that.
What a great birdbath! Just received my birdbath/fountain! Easy assembly, nicely finished and pleasing to look at. As soon as I put water in it, dropped the solar pump into it and viola! An instant addition to our backyard bird buddies!
